Michael is a member of the NHS Directory of Complementary and Alternative Practitioners. 

 

Members are approved by the NHS Directory as a providers of treatment to patients of NHS healthcare professionals by the NHS Trusts Association, the leading professional association for primary care in the UK.

 

With growing demand for alternative therapy a number of NHS practices are now prepared to offer many forms of alternative therapy as part of their primary care health improvement programs - HIMPS. The GP is the obvious point of referral for patients who wish to access an appropriately trained and motivated practitioner.

As qualified practitioners and belonging to recognised professional organisations we have now been approved by the NHS directory as a provider of treatment. This approval will give you the peace of mind that you will be treated by experienced and qualified practitioners who's work follows strict ethical guidelines and codes of practice within a professional framework.

Information for NHS doctors and medical staff

Clearly, the GP is the obvious point of referral for patients who wish to access an appropriately trained and motivated practitioner. There is a will to integrate Complementary and Alternative Medicine into mainstream healthcare. 

The NHS Directory of Complementary and Alternative Practitioners provides a means of connecting patients requiring therapy with practitioners who wish to work, directly or indirectly, with the NHS, via their GP. The patient will have the reassurance of a GP referral, and of knowing that any practitioner in the directory will be one who has registered their desire to work with the NHS.
